LOCATION
The Patrol Stroll will be held at the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Training Academy, located at 3318 Old Garner Rd. in Raleigh, NC. (see map by clicking on contact us at the top)
This event will benefit Mothers Against Drunk Drivers

5K COURSE
The 5K (3.1 miles) course is USATF certified. Split times will be provided at each mile mark and the halfway point. There will be 2 hydration stations provided by 9th St. Active Feet.
MADD Dash (for the kids)
The MADD Dash is a 50 yard dash for all children 12 years of age and under. The entry fee is $2 and each child will get to keep their race number and receive a medal.
TIMING & SCORING
Timing and scoring will be done by East Carolina Road Racing using the Chip system.
EXPO'S
There will be many exhibits and vendors present at this years Patrol Stroll. The National Guard will have a rock climbing wall, an obstacle course, and other exciting activities for the kids.
TEAM COMPETITION
This year we will be offering awards to the top 3 teams in the 5K. A team consists of 3 or more people that work for the same law enforcement agency or military branch.
Awards will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
ENTRY REGISTRATION
The entry fee for the 5K is $20 and $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk for ALL entries postmarked before Sept. 12. The entry fee will be $25 for the 5K entry there after. The price will remain $15 for the 1 Mile fun Run/Walk even on race day. The MADD Dash for the kids entry fee is $2. Participants in the MADD Dash will NOT receive a t-shirt upon registering. Those registering for the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will receive a t-shirt.

Food & Beverages
Food and beverages will be provided to all runners and spectators. We will offer subs, bagels, dougnuts, fruits, and cookies. For beverages we will offer pepsi products, coffee, and water. Sports drinks will also be provided.
T-SHIRTS
The Patrol Stroll will offer a CUSTOM, FULL COLOR T-shirt this year. T-shirts will be included in your registration for the first 300 runners, so sign up early.
COURSE MAP
A new 5K course map is coming soon!
Awards
Cash prizes will be presented to the top overall 3 male and female finishers. Other awards will be presented to the winning team in the team competition and to the top 3 male and female Troopers.
A special booth will be set up for the family of Trooper David Shawn Blanton Jr. (G-540) who was killed in the line of duty. Various items will be sold on race day such as shirts, patches, bracelets, and several other items. The Cherokee Tribal Association has made/collected various items which will also be sold. All proceeds and donations from the items sold will be given to the Blanton family.
Donations will be collected and various items will be sold for the family of Trooper Andrew "AJ" Stocks (C-352) who was killed in a car crash in the line of duy on September 09, 2008.
Donations can be made at any SECU Banks for the Blanton & Stocks family.
